Healthy Community Walking Survey Video

Video Intercept Survey Overview

The purpose of conducting video intercept survey is twofold:

  1. Assess community perceptions of the built environment as it supports/inhibits walking as a mode of transportation and enjoyment.
  2. Collect video to be used as part of a media campaign, success story, or other means of influencing decision makers through education.

Goal: The goal of this project is to have a library of videos with a wide range of participants from around the state describing what influence the built environment has on their physical activity levels. Videos can also be used as an educational tool for all levels of public health.

Sample: Ages +18, men and women, all levels of fitness/ability that are willing to sign a media release waiver.

Location: Trails, sidewalks, bike/walking paths, located in urban, suburban, and rural environments. Both supportive and non-supportive locations are beneficial.
