Unpermitted discharges are causing murkiness and foul odor in Spring Creek in Payson, Utah. Utah County Health Department is working with Payson City and the Utah Department of Environmental Quality to investigate the cause and environmental impacts, but at this time advise the public to avoid contact with the water.

The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food advises animal owners to provide their animals with a supply of clean, fresh water. Owners should watch their animals for signs of illness and contact their veterinarian if they suspect their animal has been affected.
