UCHD Receives National Recognition for Public Health Preparedness

Utah County Health Department (UCHD) was notified by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) that it had received the National Recognition of “Public Health Ready”. The Recognition process included nearly 2,000 page application to NACCHO. A three person review team performs a rigorous review of the application against 200+ criteria. The Emergency Preparedness and Response Team at UCHD had one week to address any gaps or questions that the review team found. At the end of the review process NACCHO reported to UCHD that the review team scored all criteria as MET by the application and additional information submitted.
