Fee Updates
- As of January 22, 2024 all card payments will have an additional 2.65% fee applied; paid by customer, minimum of $1.50.
- Effective January 2, 2024, if you are here for a travel consultation and/or travel vaccines, there will be a travel fee of $50 for each adult age 18+ and $25 for each child ages 0-17.

Travel Clinic Hours
Depending on travel destination, current vaccination status, and group size, a visit may take up to two hours or more to complete with a nurse.
Travel consultations are not provided by phone.

Important Travel Vaccine Information
- Most travel vaccines should be administered at least two weeks prior to departure.
- Some vaccines require multiple doses over 1 to 6 months, depending on the type.

Travel Counseling
Effective January 2, 2024, a travel consultation fee of $50 will apply to each adult (age 18 and older), and $25 for each child (ages 0–17).
Travel Immunizations Available
- Yellow Fever Vaccine
- Some vaccines must be timed carefully around the Yellow Fever vaccine.
- MMR, Varicella, and FluMist must be given on the same day as the Yellow Fever vaccine, or at least 30 days before or after it.
- If these vaccines are administered prior to the Yellow Fever vaccine, a 30-day waiting period may be required.
- Typhoid Vaccine (injection)
- Oral Typhoid Vaccine (pills)
- Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine
- Antimalarial Prescriptions
- Cholera Vaccine (only available at the Provo and American Fork clinics)
- Rabies Vaccine (only available at the Provo and American Fork clinics)
High altitude and traveler’s diarrhea prescriptions are not available through Utah County Health Department.

- Photo ID
- Form of Payment
- Accepted forms include Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, check or cash. Note: A 2.65% processing fee (minimum $1.50) will be applied to all card payments and is paid by the customer.
- Insurance card(s)
- Some insurance plans do not cover travel-related immunizations. It is recommended to verify coverage with the insurance provider prior to the visit.
The clinic does not contract with insurance providers for travel vaccines. However, many vaccines recommended for travel are also considered routine, and billing to insurance may be possible in those cases.
