2025 Mosquito Spraying Begins in Utah County
Web-based map available for residents to track daily spraying
Provo, UT —
The Utah County Health Department’s Mosquito Abatement District has officially launched its seasonal mosquito control program. Truck spraying is now active and will occur Monday through Thursday nights.
Recent trapping shows that mosquito populations have exceeded established thresholds in several areas. Spraying decisions are based on surveillance results and community requests.
“Aerial spraying will begin when our data shows it is necessary,” said Jason Bird, Mosquito Abatement Director.

With increased moisture, mosquito activity is expected to rise. Residents are encouraged to eliminate standing water around homes — including tires, buckets, and children’s pools — to reduce breeding sites.
