Sexually Transmitted Infection

The goal of the Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Program is to identify and treat, if possible, infected persons and their sexual partners.

STIs can cause physical damage that is not reversible, as well as birth defects or death to unborn babies.  In addition, newborns infected with STIs during the birth process can develop serious illnesses, blindness or they could die.

If you are sexually active and at risk for contracting a sexually transmitted infection, please visit your Primary Care Provider (PCP) or call the Health Department at 801-851-7037 or 801-851-7538 for confidential testing and possible treatment.
