WIC – Women, Infants and Children
WIC provides supplemental foods, nutrition education, and healthcare referrals to low-income individuals, including pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to age five who are at nutritional risk.

SNAP
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) provides funds to help individuals and families purchase healthy food. Eligibility and benefit amounts are based on household size and monthly income. Utah Food Bank provides free monthly food packages to income-eligible individuals who are at least 60 years old. Food bank is located in Salt Lake, but packages can be distributed and delivered to Utah County.

To receive assistance, individuals must meet with a caseworker to assess needs, check eligibility, and develop a plan to address the situation. A client intake form must be completed online before receiving services. Located in Provo. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Food and Care Coalition- Direct Services
Food and Care Coalition rovides financial help for shelter and rental assistance. Shelter is offered to men, women, and couples through a motel voucher system. Requests can be made during regular business hours. Rental assistance may be available for first month’s rent and requires documentation. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Housing Authority of Utah County
The Housing Authority of Utah County offers affordable housing options for low-income individuals and families. Programs include Public Housing and the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. To apply, complete a pre-application online or visit the office. Required documents include photo ID and Social Security cards for all household members.

The VA Supportive Housing Program provides housing vouchers along with case management and supportive services to help Veterans who are homeless—along with their families—secure and maintain permanent housing. Services are available to Veterans who are homeless, disabled, or in need of support.

Military Housing Assistance Fund (MHAF)
MHAF helps expand housing opportunities for Veterans, active duty military, National Guard, and Reserve members. The program provides gift funds to assist with the purchase of a new home. These funds do not need to be repaid.

Housing Works is an online platform that supports individuals and organizations involved in subsidized, affordable, and special needs housing. It offers tools for housing searches, application submissions, and mailing services. Applications can be submitted directly through the website.
Residential and Group Homes with RISE
RISE offers residential homes in traditional neighborhoods for adults with disabilities, promoting community inclusion and personal growth. They also provide an Independent Living home with 24-hour personal care support. Services are available at a reduced cost for eligible individuals.

The Refuge Utah
The Refuge Utah supports women and children escaping domestic violence or sexual assault. Services include 8 transitional housing units, financial assistance for rent and housing needs, therapy, support groups, and other recovery resources. A 24/7 crisis hotline is also available for immediate support.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity partners with individuals and families to help them build and purchase safe, affordable homes. Participants work alongside volunteers during the construction process. To qualify, applicants must have low income or live in substandard housing and be willing to actively partner with Habitat throughout the program.

In addition to operating a food pantry, Community Action Services can provide help with utility payments. To receive assistance, individuals must apply online and meet with a case manager to determine eligibility and specific needs.

The Weatherization Assistance Program helps low-income individuals and families lower energy costs while improving comfort and safety at home. Bill Payment Assistance – Rocky Mountain Power
This program provides help with utility bills through grants and emergency funds. Local branches of The Salvation Army manage the program and distribute assistance to individuals in need.

Offered by the Mountainland Association of Governments, the HEAT Program helps low-income individuals and families pay for power and gas bills throughout the year. Assistance is available based on income and household size.

Parenting Classes- Family Support and Treatment Center
The Family Support and Treatment Center offers a traditional 10-week parenting course, held three times per year. Classes take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interested individuals must call to register for the next available session.
In rural areas or communities with limited resources, in-home parenting coaching is also available.

The Kids in Care program provides child care assistance for eligible parents participating in formal job search activities. Up to 150 hours of child care assistance may be available to support parents while seeking employment.

Car Seat Education and Safety Checks
The Utah County Health Department offerscar seat safety classes, with registration instructions available on the Utah County website. Car seat assistance and safety checks are provided through video calls, phone consultations, and in-person appointments.

Parent Education Resource Center
Located in the north basement of the Orem Public Library, the Parent Education Resource Center serves as a lending library for parents and children. Educational games, activities, and enrichment resources are available for checkout.

Welcome Baby – Utah County Health Department
Welcome Baby is a free program available to families in Utah County, with services offered in both English and Spanish. The program provides weight and growth checks, developmental screenings, postpartum depression screenings, parent education, and referrals to community resources and early intervention services.

Prenatal 0-5 Year Old Visits
This program offers monthly home visits from experienced, specially trained nurses to support families from pregnancy through a child’s fifth birthday. Visits focus on promoting healthy growth, early childhood development, and preventing potential concerns before they arise.

Parents As Teachers
The Parents as Teachers program promotes family resilience, health, and positive parent-child relationships. Families receive two home visits per month for around two years. During visits, parent educators address parenting concerns and share interactive activities that encourage learning and play.

Success by Six
Success by Six is a program designed to help families support their child’s early learning and successfully adapt to their community. Parent educators visit participating families one to two times per month, using the evidence-based Parents as Teachers curriculum. This program is available exclusively to Spanish-speaking families.
